About Me

Hello, and welcome to my website! My name is Leslie, and it is a privilege to have you here visiting. It is my goal to provide you with information that will help you get the best shoes for your kids.

Who I am:

I reside in beautiful Southern Oregon, where my husband and I raise our 3 children. I home- school my children, run my store and work part- time as a Registered Nurse.

Why Kids' Shoes?

I grew up in a "foot focused family" so to speak. My maternal grandmother, Florence Dutton, was also a Nurse and later became a Reflexologist. I will always remember her with a pair of feet in front of her. She healed people through their feet. She realized the importance of properly fitted shoes and how it affected the health and well being of our entire bodies. She would rub our feet and touch our entire being. My mother carried on this tradition, and I recall numerous trips to shoe stores as she sought to help people get into the right size shoe. This spirit lives on in me as I seek to provide information to help parents navigate this important aspect of child development.

Why a kids' Shoe Store?

Having 3 pairs of growing feet to shod, necessitates numerous trips to shoe stores! In our region, it meant long drives to shoe stores or internet shopping. Simply put, there were not a whole lot of quality shoe choices where I live. So, one day I was sitting in the backseat on a road trip to the Oregon Coast. I began brainstorming the idea of opening my own kids' shoe store. The brainstorming turned into page after page of thoughts. The pages of thoughts turned into an action plan, that turned very quickly into "This Little Piggy- Children's Footwear and More! In October 2008, I opened This Little Piggy in historic downtown Grants Pass, inside a well- known spot called Savannah Faire. I am eternally grateful for all of you, my loyal customers and friends.
